gas gauge

Hey guys, I replaced my rear end in TTA 365 and I have noticed the gas gauge is on empty. I put gas in about 10-12L and the gauge didn't move. I am thinking I may have knocked a wire off the sending unit or something but I checked and don't see any problem??

Has anyone had this issue, could it be the float in the tank?? maybe it is stuck in the low position??? I really don't wantto pull the tank yet again...

I know if you unplug the sending unit the gauge goes all the way up to full, but mine is stuck on empty past the E.

i dont know about that jarred, but since i will be doing the same thing soon, keep us posted

Mine is stuck in the full position since I stored it last year with a full tank of gas. The sender gets gunked up and sticks. I put in Seafoam, hoping it would cut the crud that has it gummed up, but I think I have to pull the tank next year. Once it is apart, I think the sender can be cleaned and reassembled, but I am going to put in a new fuel pump while I am in there. I think it is inevitable Jarred - you and I are pulling the fuel tanks soon...

I feel lucky that my guage works before and after the new pump was installed. I hope it holds up!!!
