George, I think I fixed the New Post notification Problem

You were saying that you would read a New Post and after reading it it would still show as new. It was happening to me as well.
I think its now fixed. Lets try and find out. I think it had to do with the welcome banner at the top of the forum...
 
are you talking about the grey area that listed the number of posts while you were gone, PMs, # of posts in last 24 hours? I liked having that, made it easy to see what I had missed.
 
Yes but when you refreshed after reading the new posts, it still said new posts.
I can put it back.

well it said that there were new posts but it showed the threads as me already reading them though when I clicked the view new posts button.
 
It works nice for me now, Chris.
I didn't pay attention before, and everytime I would go to another section, and come back, it was still showing unviewed posts.
That's why I said I had to remember the time stamps.
Either way, I worked around it.
Go with the majority. Won't bother me in anyway.
