Goals for your TTA in 2014

I would just order a full built trans from a Buick guy. I was stranded four times because of trans problems after a complete rebuild by local trans shop. They all suck!! Wasted an entire summer with the car in shop for re-do's and all my cash went to the tow truck.

I ordered a stage three from extreme automatics when when he had them on sale and still run it today. I never had one issue. Since then I bought two more stage three from EA and all work perfect. I also suggest PTC converters. I had a multidisc precision vigilante but did not care for it.

Thanks for the info guys. Thats what I will do order it up and then swap them out.... Jarred how long ago did you deal with EA? Did you get the elect. TB?
 
I bought one in 2010, 2011 and 2012. I have three EA transmissions now. They all are great. I put on e in my wifes car, my tta and my corvette. He is now working with Gbody parts in SC or NC not sure which. May cost more or less for shipping depending on where you are.
I have two of his trans brakes and they work very well just be sure to have excellent cooling of the trans fluid and replace it often.
 
Right on thanks for the info. Oh I will definitely change fluid regularly and I will be installing a trans cooler w/fan. Should be really fun on street and strip. Rear end will be next I guess............ Never ends Cars are an addiction!!
 
Here is a photo of one of the refinished wheels compared to one of the originals. Tires have arrived and await mounting :cool:

Those look awesome!! I still havent gotten my rims back yet. I hope they look as good as yours. Did they repaint the gold also? Did you have it done local or send them out?

I plan on getting the Firestone Wide Oval tires as well.

Its still cold and the weather is crappy, so I am not missing out on any driving time (YET).

Thanks! I'm sure that yours will look great, too.

These are the wheels that I bought refinished from 3rd Gen Ranch. Alum edge is "mirror-polish", no clear. The gold was also re-painted. I am very pleased.
I possibly could have tried to do something with the old ones on my own, but I had no idea how I would have addressed the gold (big problem on my old wheels as you can see). I worked an extra holiday weekend back then and the wheels were my "reward" to myself :rolleyes:
We also still have salt on the roads, and forecast for possible snow yet this week :angry:
Here is a detail of one of the tires. That spring saving$ deal is until 3/30.

Hot Rod Power tour in my TTA in June
Took it last year and picture of it with 3 other generations of TA's was in November issue of Hot Rod Magazine in 2013 Power Tour Section.

If you got it drive it !!!:thumbup:
