I saw the one on display "stripped" but missed the one in the trailer as well. Where was the trailer parked??

That wasn't my hard top cloth at the reunion in the trailer, if mine was there I would have shown it.

I believe it was either 700 miles or 1200, he was only there the first day from my understanding I think he was afraid it was going to rain and didn't want it out, have no idea who's it was, I believe Jim may know.

Yep, it has 28k miles. Thanks, it had a few flaws when I got it but it's all been corrected, hood and rear 1/4 didn't match, hood had been repainted at the dealer and it didn't age the same as the rest of the car. And had to have the head liner redone.
 
Congrats Robert glad Steve's hardtop found a good new home.

I will have to pull the list of the 15 cloth hardtops and see if we have owner details for all of them. Travelling so will be next weekend.

Yeah i think it is, Steve said he bought it in 02' and drove it from Nevada to NY, i think he said it was raced at Silver State or something like that... the biggest thing it need's is paint, all the other little things i have except the dash pad.

Thank's Jan, remember we were talking about HT's when you was here? Anyhoo i was looking at the dealer invoice and the car sold new on 3-18-89 at Pat Clark Pontiac in Las Vegas for $18449.83, sooo that means t-top, leather was a 10k option? that's fu*#king crazy.....:jaw:
 
Robert, The window sticker from the dealer should be minus the value option package for the t-top roof and custom leather interior which was a 1,295 option and had a option package savings of $350.

So the list price of my t-top leather car is $31,223.00 so the hardtop should be minus the options above. Maybe in the low $30,000 range.

What it actually sold for is another thing!:yes:

The General Motors Pontiac Dealer Invoice does not show the additional cost from PAS for the LC2 conversion. It only shows the GM costs for a 305 GTA with a credit for the 305.

It is one of the pictures from the ad of my TTA. I must admit it is pretty obscure to me. Leather and TTOPs seems to be in the $1295 option

Steve bought it from a friend of mine. i remember he did the "fly in and drive home" thing. yeah, it is THE silver state challenge car. there are a few photos of it in an old issue or two of Hot Rod Magazine. cant remember but maybe like 1990 or so.
i think it did have a cage in it at one time and i also think the hood blew back open at one time as well iirc. i took some old snap shots of it 10 + years ago but they didn't turn out all that good. might have tossed'em by now....i'll have to take a look and see.....

That would be cool as hell if you could find some, how did it do in the race ?
 
Thank's Nick and Bossbird , some people would be like OMG , personally i think a history of someone running one of these car's for all it's worth is and it's in a mag is cool... just me.
 
Robert you got a special car there! And knowing the cars history is a big plus, bud! Congrats to you! Can't wait to see it.
 
Robert, it would be nice if you could get a copy of that Hot Rod Mag issue, since that is your TTA now!!:clap:

Cool, I remember that in Hotrod magazine from back then.

I have also blown the up pipe off more than a few time. I had a lip welded onto the pipe with an addition to a 3rd clamp got rid of that problem. Cool history.
 
That is bad azz finding out those tid bits of history and getting the magazine copy it was in! Most awesome!
