Green connector at firewall next to MAP sensor

I recently purchased TTA934 and am in the process of getting her back to stock form. This car I believe has one hell of a history. There is a Green blade connector peaking out of the same wire loom that the MAP sensor wires come out of. It has 2 white wires goingm into it. Any ideas what this was for?

Any help would be appreciated. I can post a pic if needed.
 
A picture is definitely going to help. I can't think of anything off hand with 2 white wires in that area. If either of these are what you consider a blade connector than they were never used from the factory:

I will post a pic tomorrow when I get a chance, but No it is not an aftermarket spade connector or splice as you have shown. Granted I did not examine it up close but it clearly looks to be part of the OEM harness.
 
Is this the connector your talking about? Its part of the factory harness, its still wrapped up on mine. Usually stuff like that is a diagnostic test port, but what that goes too or what its used for on the TTA I don't know. Since its still wrapped to the harness, this harness could have been used on other Trans Am's or Firebirds of that model year. For the TTA application, the harness could have been modified & certain connectors and/or test ports be used or wrapped up out of the way if not used, witch may be this case.
 
That is some diagnostic port of some sort. The TTA harness is specific to our cars and not shared with any other models.
 
The white wire with green connector is a tach lead, I've used that as a signal for aftermarket shift lights.

Ahhhh Perfect! That is the connector I was referring to. I figured it to be unused by the Factory but I appreciate all the responses and clarification.

The purpose the factory had for it I do not know, possibly for final tune or a diagnostic aid for the ignition system scince the wire produces a clean 6cyl tach signal
