GTECH SS ON MY TTA TODAY

TurboJoe89TTA

TurboJoe
HI EVERYONE,

We put the Gtech on the TTA today. As of right now I have Thrasher 92, K&N , Accufab Adj. Fuel Reg, Caspers Volt Booster, Hooker Catback, and No Cat, 160 Thermo, on Comp TA's. We ran twice. Two of us, 400 lbs. It is 75 degrees today and my tank is completely full. My best was 14.03 in the quarter and I trapped 103.6 miles an hour. Road was decent.
I am running apox. 16 lbs. boost with no knock. I was pretty happy. I thought I was around 13.5ish but.... I am going to wait for the TURBO TWEAK chip. I will install and then run on a cooler night by myself.
I will post my new time around Saturday maybe. Thanks for reading and I will talk to you later. Joe

Ejecting your chubby co-pilot should get .2 in the 1/4. Mph is same as my friend's GN when he runs a 2.0 60ft. at 13.40ish 1/4 so your good. Keep chipping away. Try some 100 octane unleaded and turn it up to 18lbs of boost, with that and TT chip, I'd bet you'll get a low 13.

He is a chubby little sh@t. Thanks for the advice. I will do!!!!!

Haha, well, a very very good rule of thumb is .1 of a second for every 100 lbs. (down to a certain ET, this is very close)

So, if your chubby buddy is 200 lbs, expect to run about a 13.8!

:D

Good luck!

Weight is important, back when I was in college and was selling my plasma for $20 a pop:bleed: . I was to say the least out of the loop when it came to getting hot rod parts. Couldn't even afford a chip! So I took all of the spare tire components out and ran plexi t-tops instead of the original glass ones I use now (the glass ones fit and finish blow the plexi away) From then on my times picked up a tenth every run.
I put my spare tire back in since those days. I guess if you wanna get really aggresive cut the rolling mass down and get some weld wheels all the way around -skinnys on the front, kinda ugly but affective.
