hating winter

I am hating winter, just waiting for summr to drive the tta. I can't stand this alberta climate. It is so cold here. You guys down south don't know how good you have it. Ahh...!!! I am suffering tta withdrawl.

I did have time to do a few things done, replanned my headers, put new gaskets and gromets on the valve covers. and got the tranny rebuilt.
I used to have a B&M ratchet shifter, and that thing was garbage. The guy who put it in did not hook up the neitral safety switch and I could not pass the safety inspection at the track. So I put the stock shifter and a new console in.

NOw am just waiting for the snow to be gone to test it all out.:mad2:

I too am weary already of this particular winter. We've gotten so much snow,so much earlier than usual. My van has looked like one giant salt lick since mid November :disgust:and I don't remember the last time it was above 35 degrees F. I'm usually not in the "shining" mode till late January-early Febuary. But that's early too.

I had nothing really planned to do to the TTA but one night I just got silly and ordered the WB O2...then the 6.0 TT chip...then the power logger. probelm is I overbooked my projects list before any of this and I'm not sure I will get it all in and running before May.

And I'm not in the spirit of the holidays yet, let alone in the mood to boot up those Reznors to get the shop up to a balmy 55 to do some work:cold:

You guys aren't alone! Eventhough we have no snow at my location here in Germany, it's rainy wet with salty roads=no TTA driving. I decided to go out into the Garage the other day to work on a few odds and ends, turned on my propane heater. An hour later it was like a sauna with nearly 99% moisture!! The TTA was completely covered in moisture.:mad2:
I don't know how to solve this other than not working in the garage until spring...NO WAY!!

You'll need a heater in one corner and dehumidifier in the other, lol.

I have sold my pontiac, buick, GMC dealership but ended up retaining the buildings. Now they are for sale but for a while I'll have a pretty darn nice place with heat and 3 hoists. Too bad my car still has no motor and I have no time to work on it. A couple of months and I should have it back together and parked in what used to be my showroom! The car just looks sad with no hood or drivetrain installed :-(

I don't know how you guys up north handle these winters! I lived in Toronto for 5 years and loved it other then the cold winters. They have a cold up there that is colder then any other cold out there! lol

I rent a few duplex's and I made sure I picked ones with the bedrooms over the garages. So I went over there last night to play with the cars a little and because it was 30 out both tenants had the heat way up. It was 71 degrees in the garage!! It was crazy I was just tinkering around under the hood with somethings and I started to sweat. It's the only way to go! Good investment and perfect place to keep your cars! :)

Its been a cold weekend here. High's around 15, and 35-40 mph wind and lots of snow.:cold: I miss summer too!

WELL... you guys KNOW what to do.. use up some of those frequent flyer miles and get the heck out of there.. maybe somewhere .. warmer. .. that has say Ferry race's (aka not guys dressed up but the passenger type) ..up the Harbor on Sunday.. fully loaded.. that has a MAJOR east coast schooner race between three states.. a HUGE New Years Eve fireworks display over the Sydney Harbor Bridge.... .. that is marked by sun cream, surfing, outdoor drinking (Fosters & not the Budweiser slop), National Drag Racing grand finals this weekend in Sydney.... 14 hrs full sun days from a mild 68 degrees to around 100 in your temperature.. .. I recon even Obama should come down here for his "high 5" ceremony.... bring Hillary to get an all over tan on her too.... then he could take the kids down to Bondi Beach, and get half pissed like the rest of us... then they can carry you back to the plane and you can sleep it off for the next 13 + hrs...

It's never too late.. & I'll pick you up at the airport in the TTA.. .

It'll be a while till our roads are clear. We got 6 or so inches of snow last Friday and another 8" Sunday. Yuck!
