Headgasket set

Well, it looks like I am going to be replacing headgaskets. Where is the best place to buy a headgasket set and what brand should I buy? I need the complete set for everything.

If you're making serious horsepower go with cometic or rjc gaskets. If your car is stock just get some felpros

Thanks, Probably just go with the felpros, Oreilleys has a comlete set for $113.99 and get the heads surfaced and also have the valves done also.
This was a preexisting problem before I put my new turbo on, a blown headgasket, no doubt. I always thought with a blown headgasket water would get in your oil or oil would get in the radiator, but not this time.

I guess you didn't blow the gasket into a water passage. Do you think your turbo was bad?

I thought I had blowed a turbo seal, could not figure out why oil and smoke would come out the vent hose on the driver side valve cover and smoke would come out the exaust. Drove it around the block and so much smoke got inside the car, really bad. This is before and after installing the new turbo which I thought would correct the problem. It has to be a headgasket blown. I hope.

From my experience,I think you're getting ahead of yourself. Spend the time or some money to do some better diagnosis. Either with a compression test and a leakdown test.

Could it possibly be something on the bottom end.

It could be a dozen things...it maybe a bad/incorrect PCV,a bad cylinder,a bad headgasket,etc.

I would suggest spending your time and money on diagnosis before pulling the top end apart.

I don't know your skill level or your wallet,I'm just sayin' it's far better to identify your exact problem rather than throwing money at it based on collective guessing.

Thanks, something like this for a correct diagnosis I will not do myself. I know someone that is a master mechanic at a shop here, he said he would work on it at his house much cheaper than the shop he works for.

Prior to this happening the only thing I did to the motor was change some vacuum lines, I changed the one on the egr, if I would have hooked the vacuum from the egr wrong would that cause the problem. When the car started smoking it was about 15lbs of boost.
