Hi, there is a missing sensor on the car I just bought. the location is on the right valve cover tworads the front of the valve cover. there is a red two wire plug and a vacume hose that goes to it . I have tryed to identify it with no luck if anyone knows the name of it I would be very gratefull .

I'm pretty sure that's Jims car, if it's not his looks just as clean.
As others said it's the wastegate solenoid, you don't really need it if you have a boost controller or an external wastegate.
Thank,s for all the input guys I don,t know if the car even runs. the vacume line is just hanging there by the two wire plug. what is the best method with this system. I am going to get the chip from tt and the scan tool too. it looks like the chassie needs stiffined up. I have a machine shop so I can fab or cnc turn or mill what ever is needed or purchase it. the car sat in a yard for 11 years and needs alot of TLC which it will get from me. any performance tip,s or needed modifcations will be helpfull. after I get it running whomp a few cars with it I am going to dissamble it blast ,paint reassemble at this time would be great to install any thing needed. again thank,s for input and will post pics of the car soon.
Get an RJC boost controller from RJCRacing. Performance Products for Turbo Buicks
have a vacuum hose run fromthe wastegate (there is a nipple it) to the rjc controller and then from the rjc controller to the turbo. Piece of cake...and cheap.

Since these cars are subframe cars they're not very stiff from the factory. I have BMRs subframe connectors on my car and they fit great and really help to stiffen it up.
If you don't want to buy another boost solenoid you can buy an RJC boost controller http://www.rjcracing.com/RJC_Buick_Products/BoostC/boostc.html You just put the controller in line between the reference port on the turbo to the inlet of the wastegate. You can then set it to control your boost, this is typically a more reliable and consistent way to control boost. However, keep in mind you're now in control, not the computer so you will need to set your boost manually to match with the chip that you purchase.
As for other mods, while you're taking it apart you should probably go ahead and replace the fuel pump with a walboro 340 and hot wire harness from Racetronix Racetronix-TTA_Pump_Kit It's very common for the stock pumps to go out or not be able to even keep up with the stock fuel demands so the Walboro will be plenty until you're in the 500+ rwhp range.
I would suggest putting about a 1000 miles on the car before you start tearing it back apart. There are a lot of things that can be a problem and if you drive it they'll show themselves fairly quickly, especially after sitting.
