History of my TTA

I know it's a long shot but maybe someone here can help fill in some of the blanks in the ownership history of my car. I figure we're a small community and we take note of any TTA's we run across so who knows? :chat: Here's what I know so far:

It was purchased new by a "collector" in Oregon who kept the mileage at 4689 until it was sold in 1999 to Michael Mis of Florida. Michael ran the mileage up to 94,000 and change and he sold it to Clean Cutt Autos in Delware in late 2004. Clean Cutt sold it on ebay in 2005 to the guy I bought it off of who put it in storage until I bought it a few weeks ago.

So does anyone here live in Oregon and know any "collectors" who've had TTA's in the distant past? How about an Oregon DMV employee who wants to run the VIN for me? Anyone live in Cape Coral Florida and/or know Michael Mis? Anyone know Clean Cutt Autos in Delaware or a guy named Clint Heffner who signed the title transfer on behalf of Clean Cutt? Any Florida or Delaware residents who know any of these people? I'd just like to contact a few of these guys and see who knows what, who did what to it and if any of the original parts are hanging from the rafters in their garage?

Just start doing searches for those people/places in those locations

You'd be suprised the number of people who don't ever move anywhere. Also try getting a carfax and then maybe you can see some more history of the car from any service records. It goes back to 1981 so you might be able to find some service records from the original dealer. The internet is a powerful tool, just start searching for stuff like crazy.

Also I don't know if you tried posting your VIN, but there is a VIN list with car numbers and you might be able to approx. your car number then look on the registery and contact people with car numbers around there.

Thanks Jared! I did the White pages for Michael Mis and it gave me 4 addresses none of which matched the one on my title so he probably moved by now. No phone number either. I looked up Clean Cutt and their address is just as the title shows and their # as well. I did a business lookup but it lists the sole employee as someone other than Clint Heffner. Maybe Clint sold the place and went to join his brother Hugh at the Mansion? Ha ha. So a call to them is a good place to begin anyway.
I have the Florida title and it lists Oregon as the previous title state but no title number. I have the Carfax but it stops at Oregon with no info about who owned it. I'll keep digging!

Your description has jogged my memory. I had been looking for a cloth/Festival car for a while before I bought either of mine. I believe I saw your car on e-bay at least twice. First time was about 4 years ago by a seller in FL, saying most of the miles were put on by the previous owner who commuted between the east and west coast of the state. Next time it was on e-bay was a year or so later by a dealer in Delaware.
There was a member on the other TTA website that kept records of TTA's on e-bay; his records went back 3 years. His info was helpful to me in tracking #916's recent history. The link to his site no longer works, however. If I recall correctly, his name is Ivan and he's located in Michegan.

Your exactly right, that is my car! I contacted a member on this site and he sent me his ebay list and my car was on there (if I recall correctly) 4 times. I'm going to contact the dealer in Delaware next week and see if anyone there remembers any details of the car and transaction. Thanks for your recollections!

You know,
You can tear your interior all out, and look for the build sheet, which may be in the car.
The other place that it could be, would be above the gas tank.
Lot's or work, but possible.
Getting the invoice from Pontiac, usually will show what dealership the car was sent to.
