When I was at Beach Bend last November I raced an Mitsu EVO. We raced 2 times in a row. He won the first one and I won the next time. Of course whoever filmed this got me losing. I was still surprised to come across it. It was posted several months ago.

Oh yeah, the EVO had a bigger intercooler, he said"it was reprogrammed" fuel injectors...I think Had to add that in there, it was a while back. Also, his wife had a pretty sharp 91 Convertible GTA 305 tpi. I raced her also that night.

Yea for sure! That was a nice run. I'm sure that EVO didn't think you would be right there with him! I murdered a few of them around in my GN. Actually I can't get a street race from an EVO any more in the GN. They must have a forum and they say stay away from the GN in NE Philly!

There are some mean GN's around WNY as well. Even the vettes stay away. A good friend of mine who has 3 vettes said that the guys on corvette forum say to stay away from the moded GN's in the area. Maybe in a few years I'll start to work on my TTA.

I liked the EVO I raced. He was selling the car to get the newest one. Check it out on the Mitsu website. I raced a new vette earlier that day. he killed me with a 11.20 at 120. It had some heavy internal mods and I believe NOS.
But I got destroyed by my buddies 87 GN. He ran 10.30 at 133!:jaw:
Street racing, you'll rip and tear in a TTA, usually a 90% kill ratio, but go to the drag strip and your gonna be in the middle of the field at best. I get hammered a lot at the local strip in BG Ky. But it's a blast.:toot:
