Hot start issues

I had the TTA out yesterday for a spin. It started right up, and ran like a champ. I brought it back home and shut it down after driving it for about an hour. When I tried to restart it 10 minutes later it just cranked. It took about 5 tries of cranking before it restarted. Then it ran fine like nothing happened. Any ideas what could be wrong? I really don't even know where to start since it seems like an intermittent problem.

Sounds like an ignition module on it's way out. It won't start when hot, but after the module has a chance to cool off it will.

Is the ignition module that whole coil pack? Any way to test it?

It's the bottom half attached to the coil pack.

Is there any way to test a module?
Anybody have a spare they want to sell that I can use for testing?

they really arent that expensive prob easier to just replace the whole thing and be on the safe side

It looked like OEM was about 200 bucks.

If you pull the coil and module apart, and find a gooey substance that looks like Pert shampoo the module is going out. Good luck.

It cranks just fine. It just won't start. I was doing some research and it looks like Autozone has some kind of tester for ignition modules. I might give that a try. I'll check for some goo also. Thanks for the advice guys. I will let you know what I come with.
