To make a long story short.... My friends boyfriend arrived today at my parents house. I greeted him and told him his car was super. HE THROUGH ME THE KEYS. My ma and pa and dad yells "no no" and I was ready to start throwing things. j/k So anyway, I took the keys and started it up. Ignition was on the left. My wife and I took off gently down the road waiving to everyone like ACE VENTURA and Pheebe from "friends". About 2 blocks over I Mashed It !!! First impressions were snappy,quick and fun to drive. The college chicks in my area were giving me the BEDROOM EYES ! My wife said "they are laughing at ya". Anyways..... Great Solid Little Car. The Boxster was very fun to drive and handled very, very well. I brought it up to about 65 mph. I mashed it about 3 times. Very careful may I add. Never over doing it. Shifted very smooth!!!

He had never heard of the TTA. I showed him some pics and he enjoyed them. I showed him Sverble's and PhillyTurboSix's Cars online. I promised to take him for a ride next time. He looked VERY interested.

Twas the end of a great day. However, I wouldn't trade my TTA for 2 Porsches :)

I wish someone would come visit me and throw me they keys to a new GT40,
I think that's the only car I'd trade for.:cowboy:

Very nice Joe! It's always nice when someone let's you play! A local friend of mine did the same thing to me last summer with his Viper. He knows I own the GN and TTA. He threw me the keys and said "here drive a real car with real horsepower" Well after going down the road sideways I think he was sorry he said that! Anyways the car rode like shit. The gear box felt like it was from a lawn tractor and the friggin heat that poured up out of that engine bay was horrible. I thought I was going to need a doctor when I got out of the car. Needless to say my GN felt way stronger. I keep bugging him to race me on the street with it. He always comes up with some excuse. If he does there will be a video that's for sure! :drool:
 
Those 2003 specs look like the TTA numbers. The TTA would bury that Boxster. Nice little roadster though. Quick but not that fast, 13.8 ???? in the quarter. Probably mid to high 14's I would say. Just taking a wild guess.
 
I had a neighbor down the street, lend me his 1972 Pantera.
Man, was that car sweet!
Kinda weird with leg placement, off to the side, but that didn't stop me.
Neither did the guy chasing me down the street with a broom stop me.
Then again, I did stop a few times. Only to let him get close, then burn out again, leaving him behind.
Lisa was wondering what the he*l I was doing.
Note:
Don't always listen to your girl!
The owner offered to let me buy the car, on payments, no down.
Lisa talked me out of it.
Never again!
I wanted that car!

You would have been disapointed! The TTA is faster, goes around corners better and brakes better than a Pantera. We used to spank them autocrossing with our 2nd Gen T/A's back in the early 80's. The TTA is an even better car...

i know... *sigh* thats sorta problematic. what car do you go to when your time with the TTA comes to a close? im still young, im not gonna always have this car.i dont know where to go from here!

...certainly not the porche boxter :P

I don't know. The idea of getting rid of my TTA weakens my stomach. I have wanted one forever. My old man likes the Ford GT40 but that is to expensive for me. Let's see how the new Turbo Supra looks. I will always keep my TTA. If not on the road, in storage somewhere.

The 20th TTA spanks my 1970 Trans Am too, but that doesn't stop me from keeping it (the 1970 Trans Am).
I really love the looks, the sound, and the power of the Pantera.
Growing up in High School, that was the very first car that I drooled over.
I have never gotten so many looks, driving a car before.
Maybe that's because I use to live near the beach too. Ha!:)
Still though, I wish I had bought it.
Oh well.
