I just dont understand it??!!!???!!!

A few years ago, the GNX's were only a stones throw away from us. Now, they have hit the 20 yr mark for collectors. This spring is our turn...IMHO.I think in all....under 1000 TTA's left using insurance company math and common sense.So, with that being said, better take a loan( if needed) and buy that mint one you always dreamed of. Again, just my opinion.

As these cars increase in value, prices of specific parts as well as the cars themselves need to be adjusted accordingly with the market value and above(rising cost). I have passed on a few cars and parts that I kick myself for because I wasnt going with the rising cost in recent months.:wall:
Just thought I would share my misfortune on this:chair:
 
I fully expect the value of an average TTA to skyrocket in 09. Look at a GN. I bought my first GN for 6k in '98. All you can get for 6k now is a rust bucket if that. The TTA books for a pretty penny right now. GN's damn near doubled in value since the 20 year mark. Last time I checked they weren't as rare as a TTA. :)

I think that part of the reason that the GNXs bring so much money is because they're tied to the GN. With higher production numbers with the GN it's more well known to your average car entusiast compared to the TTA, which is like a frankenstein and neither really accepted by the GN guys or the GTA guys. So most people don't even know what it really is. Kind of like how older Shelby Mustangs bring more money because even though they have low production numbers, great features, and lots of ties to the Mustang that it's based off of.

I hope that the TTA really jumps up in the next couple years, but I don't think it will ever reach the level of the GNX. I think that the TTA should be about halfway between the price of a GN and a GNX, but as of right now we're right around the same price as a GN and in some cases lower.
 
Give it till 2009. I think things will change pretty quick at that point.
I think that an average condition TTA with 50K-70K miles will start at around
$19,000 to $20,000.

I agree, and the lower mileage cloth cars should be over 30K easily :D

that's not verty much of an increase, I think that by 2010 you'll see 50-70k mile TTAs going for $25-30k and the low mileage cars bringing upwards of $40k. Of course this is all speculation, and it's really determined by what the seller believes the car is worth which will help bring the prices up. It's nice seeing most of the people in the community thinking they should be bringing more because that will help us bring the prices up. I know that right now even though my car has like 24k miles on it I wouldn't accept a penny less than $25k and even at that price I would very tough to convince to let it go. Last year at about this time I had about 4-5k less miles and I was saying the price was $23k for me to even consider it.

I don't really even think about what they are worth. I cringe at the thought of selling my TTA. I've had it since it was new. To many memories, saturday night cruisin with the ladies and Sunday nights at the drive in (yes there is still a drive in in Beaver Dam Kentucky) All the times me and dad stood out in the driveway specualting on what the latest modification may render at the track. Even old ladies check these rides out:eeks: It's probably realistically worth $24, but I wouldn't take less than $75 or even $100K. Not many cars out there that could fill the spot that would be gone. Maybe a Ferrari f-40, but they cost about $15k a year to keep up. I think I'll sell it when I'm too old to get in the car. Then I'll buy a hot dog stand on a beach somewhere.:wheelchair:

I hope you are right for an ultra-low mileage Leather/T-top car by 2010 would be 40K. I actually think a Cloth/T-Top ultra low-mileage cars would be more and a Hardtop would even be even higher. :eek:

Pure speculation.....

Spring 2007- leather t/top cars will see 20% increase from now.
Cloth t/top /Festival cars will see 30%
The hardtop cars are more rare, but no indy history, so I feel they will be close.

This is an example of ultra low mileage TTA's..... Higher mileage cars bringing less the more mileage of course.

Just my speculation.... :chat:

I think it got so high by showing pictures of what's not included.
Wonder who the buyer is.

Interesting.... I get more calls and emails on people trying to get me to sell my 4K mile Cloth/Hardtop than I do on my 5K mile Cloth/ttop/Festival car....
