Installed Another Steering Wheel

I installed the used steering wheel and center radio pad. The wheel is not perfect but its not bad.

Went to Oreilly's and got a steering wheel puller for under $15, could have rented one from them, but decided to buy instead.

Also the Katzkin seat covers that were installed on the front and back look even better after a few months. I keep plenty of leather conditioner on them to keep them from drying out.


Next thing to do is to get my parking brake cover either recovered or find another one.

Mike - it looks like someone recovered that wheel. Looks good though.

It looks like one of those "Wheelskins" or something similar covers. They are good quality covers. I've used them before. It is very tedious stiching them on the old wheel. Your fingers are sore when you are done. Your steering wheel looks nice.

If it was recovered it was sometime back, the stitching looks old to me.

I got the wheel and all the hardware and the center pad for less than $200, it still wasn't a bad deal.

I got real nice beechwood door sills for $20 or so and I really got them free because the guy I got the parts from refunded some money because I used combined shipping.

Beechwood door sills??? Aren't the doorsills usually black?

Andre - I think he is talking about the sill when you open the door - where the seatbelt base is.

Yes, Sill is when you open the door, where seatbelt base is. Color mostly called beechwood but some call it camel.

By the way those sills I bought, will be keeping for spares. I repaired my original one that had a crack in it.

I took it off the car and used Gorilla glue to repair it, you can't even tell it was cracked now.
