Intercooler Plates

Ya I have a couple, one is lost in my garage cause it got loose so I pulled it off. I have another new one ready to go on just haven't done that yet. They look really good! And ya yet come with adhesive
 
Never got that one but got the same design one for my coil pack ... looks really good however I would not mind one with just the Turbo Trans Am logo on it without the Turbo 6 :-)

So same manufacturer etc ...

I got mine directly from the manufacturer however he stopped selling direct years ago and all the business now goes thrue TR Custom Parts ...

And GM cracked down on use of their logos so you would most likely have to ask to get one done with any GM logos on them (so custom made versions, all described on the ordering page):

And for the IC plates:

Intercooler Plates

And while I'm at it if you need a reproduction of the OEM IC tag I had them do that one years ago as well (better material and process instead of the sticker style Garett used on them) see: Intercooler Tags
 
Awesome info. Thanks Jan, Just ordered the custom TTA coil pack plate for TTA #613 and also a GNX coil pack plate for Rayder, TTA#1020.

Just order the Turbo coil plate for $17 from the website and put the custom engraving instructions in the additional comments and they will make them for you.

I would like to get a new intercooler tag made, what should you have engraved on it, since I can't read my old faded orig one.

Only "unique" thing for your car is the IC serial number ... I could not read my old one either so just put 1078 (my build number) on there ... the rest is all the same for all TTAs ...

IF we ever get to see the PAS documents the IC serial number per VIN should be there and we would not have to guess ... oh and we would need to order new IC tags as well I guess.

I noticed when I had the paint stripped off IC, there were numbers scratched on there. Do these have anything to do with the serial number?

Well they say that is the case ... I stripped mine as well and could barely work out what mine said but looked to be 1078 actually but I doubt it as the serial numbers on the IC do not match the build number of the car as they were just put on there at random. However it makes sense if they did engrave them with the numbers prior to paint? If you can read yours I would go with that as the serial number.

I am getting ready to order one of these and have a question for you Jan. I can make out my serial number as SC-041B-either a U or V? Do you know if the last letter would be the same for everyone as a V like yours is or could it be different for everyone? I am confident of all the numbers/letters except the last.

If any of you with low mile cars could confirm your last digit on line 2 of the intercooler tag if would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!!
 
My records indicate a V last letter. Jan would know if that is right for all the TTAs or not!

The ones I have seen so far all have a V at the end ... but as long as we don't have the complete list of all 1550 then we can't be 100% sure.

The serial number should be SC-XXXX-V where XXXX is a 4 digit numeric value; so no B at the end ... could be 8 ?
 
So here's a twist ...

Looked at a few pictures I have and ...

Some examples of serial numbers:

RK-XXXX-V
SC-XXXX-V
SI-XXXX-V
SB-XXXX-V

XXXX is always a 4 digit number and I presume they are all between 0001 and 1550 ....

I'm sure there's other 2 letter combos as well if we take a larger sample from production TTAs.

Took a second look and it could be an 8. So I have SC-0418-V probably. I guess I will order the tag with that. If it ends up being incorrect, in the future if and when we get more info from Scott, it wont be the end of the world I guess.

I'm in the same situation ... could not read anything on mine so all guess work :-)
 
I really don't think anyone is going to look at it and say, Those numbers are not right! They are like us, just trying to figure it out.:bye1:
