Wow that was the coolest "village" I ever seen ... not sure about the "European look" they refer to; nothing on this side of the pond looks that "American" lol

I saw that awhile ago, on TV.
A super idea, and I would love to see more "pop" up everywhere.
I would also love to live there, but I've got all my stuff I have, including my house, all tied up.
It would cost me way to much to move. ;)

da@#$3, looks like this place has already beat me to it in the Chicagoland area. I just drove by it today. Gated entrance, but I could see a red Ferrari and a bunch a Porsche's near one garage. The guy who worked the engine on Rayder/TTA#1040 said that Michael Jordan actually owns one of the garages on the lot and keeps several of his cars there. It is more of a track and country club vs the condo set up, but looks like they have a ton of land and definately could expand into condo's like the above. I still think the condo's would work though. This is 15 minutes west of me and 5 minutes from the Joliet/Nascar Speedway. People could come for the Nascar and IRL races and also take their cars out to the Autobaun track for some spirited run, the hang at the Country Club. I have got to win the lotto, and soon.

Yep, Autobahn has been there for quite a while. There is a string of tracks that are similar and I believe one of the first was VIR (Virginia International Raceway). Like VIR Autobahn has a north & south course which can be run separately or combined for one large track. Only members are typically allowed to run the full course. Just like a country club there's an initial fee then monthly/annual dues. The dual track setup is nice because they do allow club events to run on one track while the other is open to the members. Members essentially have access any day the track is open. Autobahn has "garages" that they lease (like a 99 year lease or something to get around owning/selling property) but most are just there for storing vehicles to be used on the track. But I have heard of a few that are decked out, 2 story "Garage Mahals" like the place in MN. I know a couple people that have memberships there and I've ridden along as a passenger at a club event there. Nice track and the concept is growing nationwide. There's a new facility outside Atlanta called Atlanta Motorsports Park that's due to open soon.

If anyone is interested I know at least one person, maybe two, that are looking to sell their memberships to Autobahn. Just be prepared to drop some coin because "membership has its privileges" but it certainly doesn't come cheap. :yes::eeks::jaw:
