Is Underhood Pad Specific For Tta

Hello all, the car I bought is missing the underhood pad. Is there a specific TTA one?

Far as i know stock is no different from a GTA, you can buy custom from carmotorsports

Mine was missing as well, and I just went with an OEM replacement one (GTA).

Thanks. I called GM. Discontinued. I am in Toronto, Canada so finding an aftermarket one may be difficult.

I read something recently (maybe in the TTA group on facebook) that said to leave it out since it held engine heat in.

I would be worried that the turbo is relatively close to the hood and the heat may damage the paint without some sort of barrier. You could probably substitute a turbo blanket if you really want to do without the hood insulation.

What's up people haven't been on in a while so hi every one. Try this Ravi, 1989 Pontiac Firebird Parts | F260 | 85-92 Firebird, 82-92 Trans-Am Hood Insulation | Classic Industries They are a little thicker than the factory fiberglass, but correct shape and mounting pin locations. Much lighter that the Car Motorsports one too.

I appreciate all the help guys, thank you. I am curious about the heat issue and leaving it off. I know the GN hood paint will be compromised if the underhood pad is removed - wondering if the TTA hood vents alleviate this issue?

That thought occurred to me too!

I have used one from classic ind. for years and never had a problem with heat. It still is in great condition. Highly recommend it!
