Jay likes his Syclone, it was even his daily driver for a while. With all of his automotive knowledge (really, he's like a walking encyclopedia on cars) I'm surprised he referred to PAS as PSA. :bash:

Maybe Scott Kelly should pay him a visit to give Jay some more details on his truck. :yes:

It still surprises me that with Jay owning so many GM vehicles including GNs & this Syclone along with countless Corvettes that he never owned a TTA. Even the late, great John Lingenfelter best known for his aftermarket Corvettes owned a TTA.

It still surprises me that with Jay owning so many GM vehicles including GNs & this Syclone along with countless Corvettes that he never owned a TTA. Even the late, great John Lingenfelter best known for his aftermarket Corvettes owned a TTA.

I actually had occasion to interview Jay briefly at last year's Cadillac reveal party. He's not a fan of Firebirds in general, or cars from the "malaise era"*. I'd be willing to share a link to my first time interviewing anyone, much less anyone famous, if everyone promises not to laugh.

* The "malaise era" is a nickname given to the late 70s, and 80s when new emissions requirements strangled performance cars. A simple example: the 1980 Corvettes sold in California received 305's.

I saw a lot of mistakes in what he said.. He failed to say the most important point about the 4.3 vs. the 3.8 in the GN. COMPLETELY different engines. Ones a Chevy and ones a Buick. Not one shared part.

And the bottom ends of the 4.3, very weak compared to the 3.8 from what I've heard. Especially when a few mods are thrown at it.
 
Hey, I would say with all the information floating around in Jay's head that he did a pretty good job with explaining the Syclone. I can hardly keep up with my car and I couldn't imagine trying to know everything about his collection of cars as well as he does. He is a true Car Guy and that's cool!

Maybe he didn't want oil spots in his nice garage.. underneath from the rear main seal.:rofl:

My cousin who I bought the TTA from had the Syclone, Typhoon, 2 GN and the TTA. He liked the Syclone the best and claimed it would eat the TTA and spit it out.lol

I am not a truck guy but they are cool.
