Hello,

I'm new to the board. I'm currently contemplating purchasing a turbo trans am within the upcoming year (after getting rid of o my mustang svo project). I figured I would just stop by and say hello.

I hope so. I like the svo, just want something with a little more power and made by GM.

Any weak points in the driveline that I need to be aware of?

Everybody should get rid of a Ford for one of these babies! They are just too much fun to drive and race!
The only problem that I have had with my car, is that the torque converter bolts get loose sometimes, and it sounds like the engine is throwing a rod or something! Easy fix, just retighten them! It has happened to me twice, and was fixes under warrenty. mI never had this problem again.
Oh ya, the rear main tends to leak alot! Cost some money to fix, if it does, and it doesn't always work! Mine is leaking now! :cry:
Other than that, thewse things are nothing to compare with all the fun you will have with these cars!! I have beaten Vipers with mine!

I like these cars so much I bought a 4600 mile Hardtop 6 weeks ago.
Both of mine leak oil around the rear main seal. It gives me something to do! LOL

If something didn't go wrong then we couldn't have the enjoyment of fixing it though.
