I'm putting my engine back together (finally) and I noticed at some point the transmission kickdown cable was damaged. Will a 200r4/700r4 cable work or does it need to be 200r4 specific?

That's a good question...from the little bit I know about TV cables is that they are application specific.Housing length,cable length,difference in ends could all be factors.
The TV cable has too critical a function to leave to chance.I would go the dealer and look for it for the TTA/GN. Or get one from one of the vendors at TB.com.
It's the only link to the outside world the the transmission has and an incorrect one or mis adjusted one will cost you plenty.

Good call, looks like GBodyParts.com has just the right cable. That should be the last of whats broken i have to cover :thumbup:
