License Plates

OK, my wife could care less (but then she drives a Daewoo) but after 18 years of owning my car I decided to get a Personal Plate. Went through the list to see what might be available and got "1989 TTA" :thumbup: Turbo TA would have been my first choice but no doubt someone with an '80 probably has that one. -Tony

can only have up to 7 spaces in Alabama and was looking through the dot page and most with turbo and indy were used up so I WENT WITH
"89NDTTA" best I could do while I am waiting on my build #.

I use a Classic plate with whatever number is assigned. Reason is it is a one time fee(no renewal) and I'm emissions exempt. The plate also stays with the owner and can be transferred to another car.I've had this plate for 11 years.

I was all excited to get the cheaper 20 year classic plate next year but they have changed the rule in FL to 30 years now! Guess I'll have to keep it another 10 years. :rofl:

ok i have to ask. why does everyone say "could care less" to say someone doesnt care? if they can care less, that implies that they care to some degree in the first place. if they dont care, and you want to say so, just say couldnt care less, it makes sense to read :whistle::blink:

Mine were "NO. 797", but I let the registration expire beyond a month, and they wouldn't let me re-register with that plate number without printing a new set of plates (which sounds about par for the course with Texas DPS stupidity). So instead of doing that, I'm going to wait until next year when Texas goes to 7 digits. Then I'll get something new.

My are veterm plates. Nothing custom. But I was thinking of putting my car number on them. Or maybe I'll use the indy plates that I bought online. :cool1:
