Look at this project TTA

If it goes for the right price it would be a fun project. The early 70's bird in the left side of the pic would be cool too.

Since it is local I went and looked at that car yesterday.

Something has to be wrong with the turbo because it falls on it's face when you floor it and makes a horrible clicking sound. It needs a ton of work and even the exhaust is held on with straps. The car is complete though.

He wants around 7000 for it.

Seems it would be easier to invest in a decent TTA instead. 2K in paint + 1K interior + 2K in engine/trans work + 1K in other parts etc, etc. When you're done you have a 100k mile car that's not original anymore...
7,000 is definately a bit expensive!

Here are some pictures that were sent to me.

Worth about $4500, IMO. Make a good drag strip car.

That's what I was thinking. He was complaining about "losing money" if he sold it for $7000 and didn't want to reduce the price.

He's either going to have to invest some TLC and $$$ to get it to a point to a have a profitable margin. A wing, some paint...The motor bay has that "stock" appeal that in 2009 will set a TTA purist's heart to pounding. That's a good thing. If he invests a little money and waits until 2009, the magic 20 yr mark may get him some money back. It has the potential to bring $12,000 in time and if it was really loved on some.
