Low mile and Hardtop TTA's sell at Mecum

TTA850

Well-Known Member
Just watched a sub 300 mile car go for $38K and a hardtop/leather car go for $19K, kind of a wide spread in price but they didnt say how many miles were on the hardtop, anyone have any info on thses cars? Build numbers?

I recorded and watched all but the second segment from Mecum...which of course, seems to be when the TTAs sold. They did sell some 4th gen TAs in the first segment and had a bunch of old Pontiac Star Chiefs and Bonneville convts in the third segment. Each segment was 3 hrs long and when I searched the guide they weren't replaying the 2nd segment. :thumbdwn:

Update: It looks like they're replaying the 2nd segment of the auction this Saturday. It's playing on HD Theater. Tune in if you want to see these auctions. I have my DVR set.

Can you zoom in to see the VINs

If you record it see if you can share just the TTAs with us less fortunate to get that channel DontKnow:

OK, I finally caught the segment where the TTAs sold. I don't have a way to transfer the content directly to my PC, especially since it's HD and there is HDCP. But I did record it the old fashioned way...or the way some people pirate movies. I set up my digital camera on a tripod in front of the TV. The quality isn't the best but it's viewable. I'll have to compress the file before it can be sent or uploaded. If someone wants to upload it to YouTube or where ever I can e-mail it directly to them.

Ron, I'm really glad to see that you were able to capture the footage for us, but you didn't have to tell us 6 times :teehee:

The website was having problems earlier and did not confirm that the message went thru. I tried it later and it finally went thru. I didn't notice it posted multiple times. :bash: Ooops.

If the files aren't too big you should send them to Jim so that he can host them on here. That way everyone can actually download them and save them if they want to.

OK, I finally got around to sticking both cars into one video and compressing it down to about 10MB.

Who wants to upload the file?

Ron got the file you emailed me ... very cool I must say thanks for doing this for us all ... I'll stick it on youtube and put the link here tonight when I'm back home.

Anyone got the VIN for those two cars sold?

Ok, thanks Jan. I had 3 different e-mail addresses for you so I tried them all!

Congrats on the magazine article, BTW.

No problem guys, and thank you Jan for posting it. There's a little glare from the screen when I recorded it but otherwise it's viewable. I guess that's what you get when you go old school like me!
