I saw one for sale with 10 miles about 6-8 years ago.

There were a 69 miler on ebay just weeks ago.
Without looking I know there's a 15 mile one and a few sub 50 mile TTA's in my database but if they still (as of today) have the same low milage on them I would not know as it's all just a snap-shot in time depending on when I got the information and made a note of it.

The sad thing is people did this to these cars,let them sit,with the intention of ''cashing in'' for investment.This worked for those who did it with GNX's,and Grand Nationals/T-types,but IMO,the TTA's are not even close to pulling what an equivalent GN miles/condition would.Forget the GNX's they are out in left field,a 2,3-5k mile X $75k+ !!!!
NTM,20,197 GN's made vs. 1,550 TTA's.So many GN's will exceed their orig window sticker,try and get more for a TTA now than it's orig window sticker,few and far between.As I've said before,I don't get it,1,550 made,had some special history/significance/turbo 3.8L in an F body,where you get handling and braking as well as the power,etc,etc,etc.
Seems the avg price for a very nice TTA is high teens to low/mid $20's.
With that,I'm sorry,I would never pay the $1k figure for owners kits that most try and get,would not change the value of your car per the investment ,IMO.Good thing I have mine.
The only glimore of hope for our TTA's to "pop" in value is in due time,look what happened to the mid 70's T/A's.
Summary,if you're keeping a TTA under bubble wrap for the payout,you should go enjoy life with it instead,IMO.

If you use one of the many "inflation calculators" $31k (TTA sticker price) in 1989 would today be $58k .... so as an investment well I think we all see what kind of money you would be able to make in the end and then adding storage and other costs over the 25 or so years.
And as far as I know the sticker price for a GNX back in 1987 was $30k making that nearly $62k in todays money and as rumor say the GNX sold for 2 or 3 times the sticker price back in the days that investment might not be as good as you would think either or?
Anyway I'm glad there's so many low milage TTA's out there or we would not be able to get help restoring ours and or reproduce decals etc.

Another benefit is they are priced now to where the avg. Joe can afford them, unlike the earlier TA's, but that will change....

Do you all think that if you buy a extreme low milage car it is smart to keep them that way? Keeping the value of the car in mind?

From the most feedback I've seen on what GNX's "actually" sold for,as Jan said,sticker was $30k,the most I've ever heard one sell for was $49k,so $20k over sticker.
The sticker on my TTA was exactly $35k,don't know what it actually sold for,did people pay a lot over sticker for TTA's?

When you say pretty close in value,do you mean a GN and TTA,lets say with 20k orig miles,both real nice shape,are worth the same amount of money?
What I was saying was,my GN's sticker price was $18,740,my TTA was $35k,if they were both extreme low miles,mint,1,2,3k or so,the GN will far exceed it's orig window sticker,I believe the TTA would struggle to get near its orig window sticker.Therefore if a guy bought both as investments,the GN paid back better.
It's not uncommon as of lately to see a large amount of GN's (at least asking prices)well into the $20k's,which is def more than their window stickers.I don't see any TTA's into the $40k's,unless they are wicked low mile cars,and by that,I mean the stupid low miles cars.
Beleive me,I love them both,and now after owning a TTA,I don't understand why they are not commanding more $$$$$ as to what they are.Rightfully so,the TTA should be worth more than the GN's as they built so many of them.
Also,as I commented to enjoy life and drive them,I am guilty of having one sit,(not the TTA)it has 16k orig miles and I use it,but one of my GN's is a garage fixture,it has 1,400 orig miles.I bought it to have/own,can't really say it was for investment,cause believe me,I paid a hefty fee for it.

I owned two Limited Regals before the TTA. Plan with them all- mod them, race them, enjoy them on nice days. Miles and originality for collectibility be damned

I had a 1987 Grand National and now I have the tta.They are both great cars but I think the tta is a better package,you got the handling and performance not to mension the looks.I agree the tta should be worth more considering it cost way more and they only made 1500 of them and also being a indy 500 car.I think in time it will get there,mean while I am going to enjoy the hell out of it and drive it.ttarider

I drive my TTA, but only put about 500 miles on it every season since purchase (2010). The farthest I drove it in one shot was to the TTA reunion and that was about 100 miles one way. I love to drive it, but usually only go to local events within 10-20 miles. I feel that since it has 53k, it is in the "range" of a 50-75k car, so I have alot of miles left to work with. I am hoping the values only increase, and as robert lee mentioned previously, the only thing these cars are lacking for value is exposure.

IMO if they can be bought for + or - 5k of sticker , someone will get a good deal....then 10yrs from now... oh wait , tune in next week when we welcome a new member that's grinning like a
I looked at a GNX with 50 miles for $50K back in 1995 at a dealership in downers grove IL. thing had all the plastic still on the seat belt receivers, carpet, etc.
my son turned 15 last Saturday and is planning on taking his for a spin this weekend if it's dry out salt or not. I doubt he'll care about miles when he gets him license and is out trying to pull in the honeys :cool1:

he got his learner permit last Saturday. they drive on a permit for a year now here in Illinois. he has a TTA. thread on it is somewhere on here. and ya, a lil salt won't kill it since he's been mowing yard since he was nine years old to pay for this thing. not like he'll drive it every day every year in this weather.
he may be the youngest TTA owner buying it at 14. more impressively with his own money. he started mowin two yards at age 9 and was up to 15 at age 14 making $500/mos. that don't even include ours as that is just one of his chores. he's bought a 66 chevy lwb truck that he flipped for a profit and 68 Camaro SS that turned into too much work and was parted for a profit. then flipped a snowmobile and a few dirtbikes. Purdy sad when guys I know text him when they need money cuz they know he always has cash available. the owner of the car we bought is a member here and buddy of mine.

That is awesome, sounds like you have a heck of a good kid! He's got a lot of experience already under his belt buying and selling..I still hate that process, even buying, guess that's why I like ebay so much more so you don't go thru that negotiating BS..also why I can't ever part with much that I buy
I thought I did good back when I was 15 and bought my 1st car, a '79 Z28 with lawn mowing money...buying a TTA at 14 is the chits right there!
