MAP sensor for gauge

The mini harness thats on mine now, has a resister built into it, but it is reversed & for a 1st designed MAP. I need to do some more research :detective: & find out were the pig tail ends tap into, if I do need it.

You could always use a GM Type Weather-Pack ( Weatherpack ) Removal Tool to swap the pins around.

I just received the new MAP 12223861 w/the new harness connector. Does this take the place of the current crossover resister harness or is it in addition too. I know the new MAP's are not a plug & play for the TTA? See pics above, Ideas?

If I remember correctly, I read that the resistor was added to correct boost gauge inaccuacies. Instead of using the 0-5V as a bias it uses the ECM's true voltage of 0-4.9V reference(bias) voltage.

WS6, Thats what I heard too, it talks about it a little on your earlier post#17 /the link to turbo buick.com. But, either way it still doesn't answer my question. What do you do with the original crossover resister harness? Replace it with the new non resister crossover or in addition too it?
