Miles per tank of gas??

I know you guys always talk about miles per gallon of fuel. I don't know how many gallons the fuel tank is and my fuel is sold by the litre. I am wondering if anyone can tell me about how many miles they can drive with one full tank of fuel?? I am talking easy driving not a 1/4 mile race at a time.

I suppose I could convert the litres to gallons and measure but I was wanting a number to compare it to.

My car is getting about 150 miles to the tank and that is a rough guess as I did not tun the tank dry and didn't want to get too low on gas cause I don't want the pump to run dry or heat.
I think I should get more out of a tank.

Jarred same for me ... and funny enough in this country you fill up in litres (and pay per the litre) but people talk MPG when they talk fuel economy ... and to make it a bit worse a UK (Imperial) gallon is not the same as a US gallon.

Our tank is 15.5 US gallons (or is it just 15?) ...

I do keep a record on mine but the distance I get on a full tank varies up and down depending on driving habits big time ... I get anything from 10 MPG on a bad day to just over 20 MPG on a good one ... so if 15.5 US Gallons to a tank then 155 - 310 miles ... the window sticker calls for 16MPG in city and 24MPG highway
 
The only time I actually figured the MPG was when I went to the reunion. I started with a full tank, the round trip was 212 miles and I drove back and forth to the track 3 or 4 times, so that added about 16 miles. So I got 228 miles from 11.61 gallons. That averaged to 19.63 mpg. I found the receipt and for 93 octane at the end of July 2011 price was $3.83 gallon.
 
The brochure from 1989 says the TTA has an 18gal tank. I regularyl got around 300 miles on a tank last summer with mixed city and highway driving. I tend to believe the brochure because i doubt i was getting over 20 mpg.

I noticed a little less mpg when I installed the 60's. Maybe 2 mpg less...
I haven't checked in a couple years.lol

Can't stay out of the boost anyways. Have to hear that T66 whistle.lol

The tanks are 15.5 gallons, you can get a bit more in them tho. Same as a keg of beer!
There were never any 18gallon tanks. There was a rumor about that the press ran with, they heard "bigger" and went with it. Turns out it was just a dual sided strainer and a nice plastic baffle, not a bigger tank.
1LEs got the same TTA tank starting in late 88 early 89 thru 92 and then ALL 3rdgens got them in 90 or 91 to 92.

In car craft years ago there was a GN that knocked down 42 mpg and ran wicked fast.

That's why i haven't fixed my ant , like the other music better :thumbup: if it goes to 20 dollars a gallon i'll still run the hell out of it, yep.. hillbilly music :D
