I've been selling Nissan's for 12 years and I would be happy to run a carfax for anyone who needs help with this. This car had to have been wrecked bad, it was 2 years old when it was salvaged.

Of the 187 cloth/t-top cars built, about 160 were Festival cars. From the vin# you gave, the build number should be about 845; definitely not a Festival car. It could, however, be one of the very few non-Festival cloth cars. Check the RPO sticker on the console cover; cloth will have a code of 66D.

66d is the RPO code for cloth interior

I did see that in the previous post after posting...my bad. I meant to say that if you see the car...Does it have cloth or leather? Why would you need to know if it has the code or are you just curious if it is original?

Inside the center console on the lower part is where the RPO sticker lives. You could look in the spare tire compartment area and under the carpet for the build sheets if any of them are still there. Should have some codes on that as well showing cloth.

Do you know if it was actually wrecked, just having a salvage tittle doesnt tell you much. My old car #861 had a salvage certificate(no tittle)when I bought it, it was a stolen recovery missing seats, instrument cluster, intercooler, and a few other small misc items.

Jims close on the number, based on my car #850(243129) it should be between #846-849.
