Need Tips And Advice..

On removing t-top weatherstrip and the center metal thing dohicky, any tips would be great, btw this is one of the reasons i dislike t-top's, they are a PINTA...
 
Haven't done the job, but have bookmarked a few videos...might pick up a useful tip or two on what to do...or what not to do.




Look forward to following your progress here, so I can learn even more.
 
Whao, this is good shit! Here I am thinking I would have to cut out the top because of the rust, maybe it's not into the car body like I thought, but I haven't really looked at it because I don't like to think about it.
Thanks for sharing looking foward to getting this fix a not have to put tons of towels because of the leaks.
 
I watched those videos on TGO before I did the Formula. They were very helpful. I also re used the OEM weatherstripping because it was not bad. Just a small amount of rust was under it. Got her all fixed up. Good luck Robert.
 
I have a few things to say about this project.. first of all it is not for the faint of heart... second.. it is a real PINTA...Third did i mention i hate t-tops ?

On another note, if you haven't removed the screws for the metal track, and if they strip, you can say a little wd40 and with a self tapping screw drill in it clockwise until it gets hot then go reverse but keep pressing down, it will come out.
 
I don't like t-tops, but I sure like the drinking part. This went way off topic! Stay thirsty my friends!
 
As long as we are talking about beer we are not that far off topic Rob,, lol, seriously if a PO had not not tried to fix a issue with the t-tops with glue... i might have it easier...:rolleyes:
