Need Turbo Size

I am in the begining stages of building a ls7 powered 2001 WS6. This will be my first turbo v8 build and I am trying to figure out what turbos I need to use. Or at least a direction to go. They will be rear mounted so I am not worried about space. But I am going to run 9.5 to 1 compression so I dont think I will need to go to big. But I am shooting for 9s. If any one has any ideas I would like to know.

Hate to run you off, but you will most likely have more success at one of the LSx websites.

ls1-tech.com and the like

Sounds like an awesome build. Lets see pictures!

Hate to break it to you but LS7 and turbo is not the way to go. The LS7 is around 11 to 1 compression I think and I don't know of any pistons out for it. I would stick to an 383 forged LS2 with around 9 to 1 compression and if you want to run a rear mount turbo you could run a T88 pretty nicely at around 20 psi and you should be right around the high 9s. However I wouldn't go with a rear mount setup anymore. So many people have built setups using the 6.0L truck manifolds you just flip them over and switch the sides then all you need to do is connect the pipe in the front and then run the down pipe. As of right now this is the fastest LS1/2 setup that I have seen and it's cheap to do. A truck manifold/ T88/ forged 383 would easily put you into the high 9s with decent tuning and suspension.

Like Quiky One said though www.ls1tech.com is the best website out there for turbo LS1 stuff. There's all sorts of information, and just about anything you could possibly need.
