Had my TTA for about a 3 week. Car has 18,000 miles and is in showroom stock condition. Has had thasher chip and 160 thermstat installed. When car was delivered and unloaded of truck took her around neighboorhood let her warm up stomped her at about 20 miles per hour roll. Car spun tires through second gear. Boy....just about good as sex. Just about I said! Parked her in the garage put her on jack stands just planning to change all fluids when I got on this damn internet and found all these goodies for these cars. Since then found that rear main was leaking and had to fix that. By the way it was the RTV not the seal. Couple more days then installed walbro 340 pump amd hotwire kit. Feul pump installation was'nt near as bad as all the horror stories I've heard. Working on installing 100 lbs valve springs now. Just have adjustable feul pressure regulator, houston downpipe left to install. Maybe one of these days I'll get to drive her again.

Congrats on your new boy. Let me tell you they are super fun to drive. I had mine with about 79000 miles When I got her she had about 31 to 32000. I thought I would only take to shows, but after awhile I realised I only live once. So when feel the need for speed we are out. Translation every weekend she calls me. I do use her full long trips, for some reason the trips get shorter and shorter on distance. I give you an example this weekend I went to marco Island with the wife and the ttops down next thing I see a couple of lights BEHIND ME! Man I was clocked at 120 mph. Now that was the most I think I have ever taken her and she respond like a champ. All the mods I have done is K&N filter and bigger maf pipe thats all. Trust me you will love to drive her. We only live once enjoy.

Congrats and welcome!
Yep, they are a blast to drive!

neonism,
Clocked at 120? What did that run? Out here, over 100, they take your car! And you go to jail!

George

Wel it's going to cost $305.50 that's the fine for over 30mph over the limit, but I spoke another fst and he told me that If I take it to court and he does not show up they will void the ticket. Plus he also said that they need to have does radar gun calibrated so often to make sure they are reading properly. I think I might do that. I will let you know how it goes.

If I were you I wouldnt count on the cop not showing. In most places they still get paid the same whether they go to court or not. Also if you do not get a lawyer you will be representing yourself and you need to plan your defense just like a lawyer would. If you do that you will need to find out what the prosecuter has on you. Go down to the traffic court and file for discovery (all the documents stuff the prosecution has on the case). Read through it especially the officer's notes. If he wrote anything down (hopefully he didn't) check it for significant errors like time of day, location, etc.

You know the more I think of it the more I think you should get a lawyer.
