My new vanity plate for the G8! Now I have to think of one for the TTA, "1QUICK6" is on a local GN, so that's out!

A couple good ones for the TTA that would go along with that plate, would be Rarity or Extinct.

I'm still partial to my old plates...TRBOTA6!

I still remember the plates on the first TTA I saw on the streets, NVMYGTA. Although most of would say NVMYTTA.

Cool. I used to have LINMUP. I don't have it anymore. I since saw a 77 corvette in a hot rod magazine that had it.

Very cool. I herd that New York wants to change the plates again.

Good old gov. Dave came up with yet another plan to bankrupt upstate New Yorker's. We will need to get new plates every 2 years when we renew registration at $24 a pop on top of the reg. cost. If you want to keep a plate, or have a vanity like me, it will cost $48!

I just renewed my vanity plate for my 94 TA and it went from $104.00 every two years to $179.00.

I hope that Gov Patterson and his liberals friends, well, I better not say what I hope for them !!

I think it is time for me to join one of those tea parties so I can vent.

Holy crap you guys complaining about the cost of your plates need to come to Michigan....I pay $104 every year to have my personalized plate.
Can we all say it together...Michigan Government sucks!!!:teehee::teehee:

One of the main reasons I went with TRBOTA6 for my plates in IL was their classification of personalized vs. vanity plates. If you had a number at the end of your plates they were personalized and only cost something like $15 or $20 more than regular plates. All letters = vanity were significantly higher.

Here in GA we get to pay TAX on our vehicles every year! It's called ad valorem tax. Basically they classify your vehicle as property that you own and therefore you have to pay tax on it...EVERY YEAR! This is on top of the sales tax you pay when you buy the vehicle. Not a big deal for me right now but I know I will be hating it if/when I buy a new car. For example, on my '97 Bonnie SSEi I only pay about $35 in tax plus a $20 std. fee. But take a '09 G8 GT or GXP and that tax amount will multipy by about 10x! Ouch! :boxing:
