This will be my wife's daily driver, so I won't get much drive time. I originally started hunting down a Bonneville GXP, but I couldn't find any one that had much good to say about the 4.6 Northstar,from a service standpoint anyway.
So, I went down a platform and started looking for the G/P GXP. This one fits my template of car buying; one year old and less than 15K miles.

Sadly, I had to trade the truck in so I'm truck-less for the first time in I don't know how many years. That was her daily driver for the last few years and it's 19 foot length finally overcame her driving ability and she whacked a Lexus in Wal-mart's parking lot. I knew I was living the lie that she could handle it, but this winter she seemed overwhelmed by it's size(2500 crew cab). So now she's back into a car and pretty happy about it too. So I'm happy as well.

Now I need to find a "turd" truck to haul and tow stuff....

Hope you have a better experience with Pontiac than I had with my last Chevrolet (and I do mean last, I will never buy another GM product again, aside from collectable stuff of course)

Here's a short version, I purchased a 2004 Impala LS new for my wife to drive to work but plans changed after we had our daughter and we ended up with one too many cars so I got it. I had been in Mercedes products for the previous 8 years so not too thrilled with the Impala but whatever it was just a car to go to work with. However the service from the dealer for warranty issues and from GMAC when I had an accident was horrible, the very poor build quality, and it was a smart buy so I recently gave it back which took me several weeks to do because 4 local dealerships outright wouldnt take it(even though GMAC says ANY dealership has to take it)and the selling dealership would only take it back on their convenience - which is a pain with a 2 year old and them being an hour away. This bad experience is on top of when we purchased our 1996 Impala SS new and there was an alignment problem which they promptly blamed on the car being in an accident and it was our fault, keep in mind this car currently sits babied with 24K original accident free miles.

Now I'm back with Mercedes and its a pleasure, just had it serviced and was treated like a customer should be treated - wifes picking up one soon too

Since the weather has been brutal here,and it just let up Sunday and today, I finally took it out to see what this LS4 is all about...this thing is unbelievable out of the hole.It pulls like my former '71 455 T-37 Pontiac in second gear at WOT.
I don't think it's faster than the TTA( I haven't driven that much either), but from a dig maybe. Stats say it's a 14.3 car but it feels more like a mid 13 second car. I didn't get to really beat the hell out of it yet, and maybe it peters out at the big end.

I'll tell you what, 'round this area there won't be much that it can't run with or out and out trounce.
