I recently made an aqusition of my 1st 89 TTA. I have finally gotten the PHS Info with my build # of 402. I had to become part of this site as soon as I knew what number she is. 8)

Congratulations on your purchase. I am a new owner as well; I got mine about 3 weeks ago. It's a great car. How long did it take to get the info from PHS? I sent an application about 18 days ago. Check out turbobuick.com- lots of TTA guys on that site. Good luck with your new ride.

congrats !!
I picked mine up about almost 3 years ago .. wow .. where does the time go ??
What an amazing car, picked it up in Fort Worth and drove her home 40 hours .... been chasing all the bugs out since, and loving every minute !!!

But she's almost done ... well except for the tranny, and the rear wing(what a surprise there).
unfortunatly shipping to here is tons, the only place to get a fibreglass rear spoiler is the good ol USA, so it has to wait !!

congrats!!

Awsome guys!!!

I bought my second TTA in may 06 and had sold my previous in 02.....4 years without one was ruff...love this cars..of all I have had and currently have...this is def my fav...I know how you guys are feeling.

Welcome to Turbo Trans Am ownership!
Glad to see you posting over here!
Super that you got your build number too!
So, what are your plans?
Show, race, drive every day?
I bought mine new, one of the first ones released to the Public.
I love it!

As for now my current plans are to figure out what all has been done to the car by previous owners.... It has had a few modifications that I am aware of.... Larger Turbo, Alcohol Injection, Bigger Downpipe & Exhaust, I think larger injectors & im still learning each day.

This car has been retired to a life of occasional show & rod runs, cruises & parades. I have had the car almost a month and have 1 1st Place Plaque for the only show I have entered it into, the weird part was in the same show my 87 GTA got a best of Show Award, so i have a little work to do to get it really nice. Im sure that when the opportunity arrises Ill race it occasionally, just so I can play & get the time slips 8) So far the car has been a blast to own & the show was hilarious to watch folks as I had my Black 87 GTA sitting right next to the TTA. Folks would say they are they same, but they are different

It took me about 2 to 3 weeks. I sent mine via the fax though... If you used snail mail it might take a few days longer.

Welcome guys! Glad to see this board being used! It's just for the TTA guys so post away! You can never have enough information on these cars.. Unless your George then you have to have EVERYTHING! :P :P :P

Ha!
I wish I had everything for these cars.
I am just lucky that I started when these cars were new, and that I was into Trans Ams way before, which got me started.
I wanted a 20th Anniversary even before i was aware it would be a turbo, let alone, a V-6.
You should have seen me test driving the mule car in 1988! I was laughing so hard, I didn't even take any pictures!
No V-8 sound, getting pushed into the seat, like taking off from an aircraft carrier! :D
And the car screaming down the back lot!
God, what a rush!
I knew then, one would be mine!

tx_1987_gta,
I drove thru you town, and spend a few days there, and I liked it!
May even consider moving there sometime.
You weather seems to be kinda like where I live now.
Only problem would be I would be so far away from Los Angeles and Las Vegas, as well as my family. So, it's still up in the air.
Maybe next summer, the girlfriend and I will go out there, and spend some time looking around again.
Again, welcome! Glad you love your car!
I have 27 throphies already, and I'll tell you, alot of times I don't want to take my car to another show, I am out of room to put throphies!

Have fun guys,

George
