New wing installed

I just picked up my TTA from having the wing replaced. I bought one of the fiberglass wings from Hawks when they were on sale earlier this year. The car looks great and since the wing is so much lighter, the hatch actually opens when you pop the button or turn the key.

The paint shop had to do a little repair work on the rear deck since water had gotten in through the cracked wing and caused a some rust. The shop also said the quality of the wing was not very good. They had to spend a fair amount of time repairing a large crack in it from the manufacturing process, and fixing a lot of small blemishes.

It is no small feat to fit an aftermarket, fiberglass, spoiler on a 20 year old car, with matching paint and all...that being said, all paint shops want you to know how "put out" they were so you feel the price they charge is justified.

There's no such animal known as "scuff and paint" aftermarket part.

But sounds like it was a worthy upgrade! It was for me!

Quicky One did a nice job on his wing install. Do you have that link to your wing journal installation dude? I remember it had a lot of good pics and tips.
