Noiswhile passing over speed bump?

:roll: Hey, guy's its me again, sorry to bother, but I can't figure out where I am getting a weird noise when I go over a speed bump? It sounds like if I drop coins in the floor. Its very weird. I have a 86 trans am 5.0 as well and I try and try to see no luck. My tta just started to do the same noise any ideas? Sorry to be a pain but since you guy's and gals have this type of car's, maybe it has happen to you? Plus I always say no question is stupid. thanks

Well I hope it's coins under the seat, I am rich I don't think its the sway bar becuase that's in the back. I hear this noise in front of the car. Please let me know. Thanks

Engine Mounts?
Put the Car in Drive and act as if you were going to do a brake torque, but with out breaking the tires loose. Listen to see if you hear it then. Also do the same with the car in reverse.

Hi neonism,
Have you checked the sway bar bushings?
I put the big 36mm polyurthane bushings on my girlfriend's 1991 Firebird with the Sport Appearence Package (along with a wonderbar), and her car makes squeaking noises, kinda like coins!
Maybe you can look under the car and check to see. The end links usually don't, but the big one do.

Thanks, I will look into that this weekend. I am not going to put all the emblems on, but just the nose, the back bird and the 2 turbo fender emblems. I will keep my EYES on open in case I see emblems for sale.

P.s I am going to have my new emblems engraved with the vin numbers.

Crazy question from me..... maybe it's your intercooler shrowd?
You know that big plastic piece in front of the intercooler.
Or is a metal sound?
What happens if you cross the speed bump in 45 degrees angle slowly?

Its a metal sound, but you know what, come to think about it. when I do it in a 45 degree angle it does'nt sound. I guess this weekend when I put my emblems back on. I am going to really take agood luck and see. Thanks for all the great Ideas, please keep them up. Thanks :wink:

You've got end links on the front bar as well, wouldn't hurt to check them. :wink:
