Hey guys, my car will start in gear and that is no good. Anyone here know where my nuetral safety switch hook up is?? I have a bowtie overdrive transmission in the car not the stock one. I would really like to resolve this. Thanks guys.

There is a cable that runs from the shifter to the steering column, conecting at the starter/ignition switch on the steering column shaft. this switch is conected by a shaft to the key switch in the column. If you can move the shifter outa park with the ign in the lock position then the cable is broke or disconnected from the floor shifter. if the shifter is locked in park then the switch on the coulmn is broke.
