Oil In The Intake By The Throttle Body

Check turbo shaft play in and out as well as up and down. A little play is normal, excessive is not and usually let's oil get past the seals putting oil into your intercooler and throttle body.

Is the driver side valve cover oil return still connected by hose to the intake side of the turbo? If so, that will put oil into the entire intake system (IC, TB) and can cause the intake hoses to pop off under boost.

Thanks- so do you recommend a breather? If so which one? What do you recommend for capping off the Turbo?
Yes, a breather and a cap are necessary. I bought mine a long time ago from Applied Technology and Research, but they're no longer in business. I'm sure Jan or Robert will know where to get them now.
Even better than a breather would be a catch can, because the breather blows oil over the engine; I always have small oil drippings under my car, and after replacing the rear main rope seal and finding no other leaks, my mechanic told me it's the breather.

You are getting too far ahead of yourself ... after 25 yrs it is not uncommon to have a little oil in the IC if it has never been cleaned, clean it and buy a Scanmaster and go from there.

Hopefully Robert is right; all I can tell you is my own personal experience. I've owned my car since new. It wasn't long before the intake pipe between the IC and the TB blew off (from the TB) under boost. When I examined the pipe, I found oil inside it. After researching it, I learned the car was set up from the factory to return the oil vented through the driver's side valve cover back into the intake. This is obviously not a good idea, especially on an intercooled turbo car. ATR developed and sold a kit specifically to fix this problem. It worked. I've never had that issue again.
Every Buick V-6 turbo I've seen has had a breather on the valve cover vent and a cap.
And I've never cleaned out my IC. How much oil is in it, I don't know, but I do know it still runs as strong as it ever has.
I did a really quick internet search for you, and found a breather:
TA Performance V6 Valve Cover Breather, Low Profle Valve Covers
I also found an assortment of rubber caps (I don't remember the exact size; you can measure it):

(I'm not recommending these particular items; this is just what I found after a quick search to give you an idea).
