Oil Pan gasket

Any one know where I can get an all cork gasket? I did the RMS last summer and now I am getting oil around the pan rail. I did not like the looks of that rubber Felpro going in!! They say not to use sealer on them, any one done it? I can not see why it would hurt.

I sell Fel-Pro gaskets (own a parts store). P.N. is OS30521R for your pan gasket. No, I don't know anyone who makes it in cork, you may try Victor (Napa). No, you don't want to use any sealant on the rubber Fel-Pro gaskets, as they will get slippery and squish out the sides of the pan (don't ask how I know  . Brakleen both surfaces and install it dry and it should be good. HTH.

Brake Clean both sides? Never heard of this. Is that to remove trash and dust for a better seal or does it eat away a little bit at the rubber making it tacky?

No, just brakleen the block & pan spotlessly clean, not the gasket. I service a small fleet of Ford vans and have replaced most w/ the blue Fel-Pro pan gaskets. The original gaskets will be hanging out of the pan - so far the Fel-Pros still look great w/ more miles than the stockers went.
