Oil pan question

Hi guys,I'm fixing my oil leak as we speak, thought it was my rear main seal, turns out to be the oil pan gasket leaking pretty bad. When I took off the inspection cover, clean as can be around the rear main cap, below it,end of crank, and flywheel.Looks to been possibly already fixed. But,the oil pan gasket was tightened beyond beleif !!!!!!Crushing and squeezing out the blue rubber gasket and actually splitting it.It was also loaded up on both sides of gasket with black RTV.
Can anyone verify that this was not original, and must have been changed once before, what color was the orig gasket, and was it rubber or cork from the factory?
Does'nt matter,I'm going to use a cork one,had the best luck with those.Happy that I don't have to mess with the rear main to.Even though I'm in there,I don't want to mess with something that is'nt leaking as to not poss do it 100 % and create a leak.

Finally registered the car today and put on 25 miles, the oil pan gasket fix was succesfull,no leaks.Put it back on the lfit to really check it all out, could'nt be better, even the rear main is perfectly dry, very happy.
Now,after driving it for the first time,OMG is this thing stiff comparred to my GN !!!!!!
Next question, what is a good area of psi to have in the tires ??? I had 40psi,is that to much ????

30-32psi, unless your racing then about 20psi

Just went to emissions, everything went good,it passed,100+ miles on it now and so far not one drip from the rear main/pan,so excited !!!!
Since I'm in fix mode now, gonna throw my GN up on the lift and see whats leaking on that, pan or rear main,or both and fix that.
