old engine build

I used a girdle and all steel main caps ... well jack merkle did .. I had to lengthen the crossover pipe to clear. I got the crossover pipe from Julio so I didn't have to mod it myself ... along with acouple of his 1 off parts
 
I had a girdle, head clamps, billet crank and steel caps on my Buick when it made 550 on the dyno. Still cracked the block running low tens with 116 and 22lbs of boost. These little blocks are great but eventually they will go boom if you up the ante.
 
yes and it doesn't take alotta time to have big money in a stock block ! I bought a stage 2 intake to oil pan for what I have in my stock block motor
