Would you spend 6k on an '87 turbo regal limited. 140k on body and drivetrain rebuilt. Body is clean and still has original paint. Black exterior with Tan leather. bench seat column shift. digital dash and factory moon roof.

A friend of mine buys and sells cars and came across this car. I could get it for 6k. Here his discription of the drivetrain.
"Rebuilt motor 2 years ago, studded heads/intake, T1 cam, heads gone through ported and polished, te44 turbo, dayton down pipe, bunch of other stuff have paperwork for all. Trans was rebuilt at same times too. When Shae looked at it he said easy 450-500rwhp at 20lbs just needs good gas. I put about 1000 miles on it last summer with no issues at all, runs great and rides great. Has all new tires with bfg drags in back maybe 100 miles on them. Car has 140k on it, pretty rare option car."

Thinking about buying it as a summer driver. Think its worth 6k in the current car market? I think there were only like 1,030 limited turbo cars.

For 6K you can't go wrong with that deal Dan! With those miles it's a driver for sure and I would say top top price would be 10K for that car. Anything over 100K it's a toss up to the value. Any of these cars are only worth what someone is willing to pay at the time the person is looking to sell! There is an ass for every seat as well. :) I'd buy it and daily drive it! Post up some pics sounds like a cool combo. One of these days I'll get a limited. I want a low mile one all loaded up with every option in sage green! Well I guy can dream can't he! :)

Yeah, I'm kinda thinking I can't go wrong for 6k. what else can I buy for that amount of money that would be that much fun as a daily driver?

Good luck on finding that low mile sage green limited!:)

I almost picked up a really decent 87 GN hardtop for 7K and I was going to daily drive that. Was pretty much stock and needed paint but wasn't horrible. There is a guy at the end of my street with a 87 T that he drives to work everyday. Snow, rain, you name it the T heads out every morning. :)

That's GREAT Jim !

I thought about picking up a TB as using it as a daily driver too! I only live 1.5 miles from work and the grocery and liquor store are on my way home.lol

Don't be surprised if my next dd is a TB. :dirol:

I know what Jason is thinking, Joey P.... :chat:
