Full coverage with multi car, defensive driver, and good student discounts included-$1309.30 every 6 months. I could probably handle it but I might be hurting with gas, maintenance, etc. Maybe I should keep to looking at the Syclones, Turbo Buicks, and older cars; which have all been considerably cheaper. That's what I get for being 16

USA is fantastic!
In Sweden i have full insurance including all you can imagen!
For one year i pay 150$ yes thats for one year! We have specialinsurances here for classic and collector cars. If you have a real old classic it will be 40USD!!!!!!!

My TTA is insured as an 84 V6 Firebird! Dirt
cheap! $1500 a year in Canadian dollars! around $800 US!

Try shopping around. Ask about specialty insurance for classic/specialty cars.

Insurance companies are Vampires. My opinion. They drain your money and when you have an accident they are slow giving it to you then charge you more.
What I do is get the minimum amount of insurance to get the car legal, and invest the money I save. If it's needed, I draw it from my account instead of those greedy bastards. Just buy extra parts with the money you save and soon you will have an entire TTA. I've had many cars over the years and if I had full coverage for the past 15 years I would have spent over 30 grand, minimum. But that's just me.

ok, i just did the progressive thing, i even made my deductibles more, and they wanted $2640.68 every 6 months for my car.. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! a 2000 s-10v6 and a 1994 mustang v8.

state farm only charges me $1190.00 every 6 months. looks like i wont be changing companies any time soon.

Are you kidding?!?! Theft insurance is very important My Gn just got stolen and destroyed if I didnt get theft id be up shits creek right now. It would take a LONG time to save up enough money you save in the minimal cost for teh extra theft coverage to replace a TTA or GN or something....

Time to think over to emigrate to Sweden and save dollars $$$$$$$$!
For everyone here, age dosn`t matter for this insurance, still $150/ year!

It was just an idea. I bought the TTA, Firebird, 55 Chevy, GTO, Corvette, and an SV650 with the money I saved and invested. If you call progressive they should give you the name of an insurance company that can beat there price.

Let me tell you what. Insurance co. Suck!When I was 19 it cost me my new car.Had to give it up couldn't afford it 3600$ a year for a Nissan sentra(9000$ car)go figure.I had two accidents (not my fault)with tickets to boot.Had to drive a chevette for a couple of years that really sucked.Anyways thank God I'm 30 and all that's behind me.I have Farmers Ins.It's only 267$ every 6 mo.Maybe you should try there.Good Luck.

When I first bought my TTA at the age of 22 my insurance agent (State Farm at the time) quoted me $800 for the year, full coverage. This was in comparison to a brand new '95 Formula @ $2400 a year! I said great, I could afford 2 TTAs for the price of the Formula. When I got my first bill it was ~$835.....for 6 months.

I argued with them going as far as their underwriters, but they wouldn't back up the quote because I didn't have it in writing. Later that year my agent retired. I think he was going a little senial. It does go down with age though. When I turned 25 I was paying just $1000/year for 2 cars, full coverage. You can also suspend coverage to fire and theft for the winter months when you don't drive it (depending on your local climate).

Well Ryan thats assuming your car doesnt get Vandalized or Stolen, like mine did. Like i said id be up shits creek if i didnt ahve theft coverage. I mean in a perfect world you wont have to worry and can skip out on Insurance. But it would really suck if I was paying off a $5800 debt right now on a car that sitting in a salvage yard rotting away at the moment...

Plus when somethnig does happen, having a good insurance co (like State Farm which has been handling my clam VERY VERY well, and being very friendly and helpful, and it looks like they will be paying well too) makes the whole horrible ordeal a little bit less painful....

I'm a gamblin man. I play the odds. It's how much tolerance you have for risk. Like the stock market. Someday the bad will happen. But hopefully if you have a good alarm, live in a decent neighborhood and make sure everyone sees you bringing a rifle from the car to the house every day, chances are that something bad wont happen every year. Average that out to how long you plan on living/driving. Try adding up those years and figure out how much you will be paying for full coverage. Just try it.

I checked on classic car insurance for a TTA last November 2000. For me being 28 it would be $169 for 6 months, or $28.17 a month. Can't wait to get one.
