Our TTAs qualify for CARS

I know thats great right I just did that with mine, got me a got me a focus....................................................NOT!!! I would hope nobody would even consider it.

I was looking at this earlier today. Nice concept but it doesn't work for me. My 3800 Series II SC gets better gas mileage than the cars I'm looking to buy. Oh well. DontKnow:

This is a sad day! How long before we will be told we have to turn our cars in? I mentioned that something like this would happen a few years back on the other board and people chastised me and called me a conspiracy nut and to stop drinking Kool-Aid. I posted a response to a thread on the rise of environmentalism and how it will affect muscle and sports cars in the future. Even my new GXP qualifies for this:censor:

I didn't even SEE the GXP on their web site but the G8 GT with DOD comes in at 18mpg combined...1mpg less than my current car. The Corvette also comes in at 18mpg. A new Camaro SS auto with DOD comes in at 19mpg. I believe the minimum to qualify is 22mpg.

I used the GT 6.0L the GXP is the 6.2 LS3 and had a gass guzzler tax. So if the GT Qualifies The GXP will. Funny thing, with Just 850 miles on the clock I'm getting 20.3 MPG all around on 93 oct.

I'm anxious to hear your results from the drag strip. GM Hi-Tech just tested the new Camaro. Under less than ideal conditions it ran low 13s, with one of the owners posting a high 12 a week or so later.

I'm anxious too. The weather is not cooperating in upstate NY right now, and work is crazy with o/t. I wanted to go last Friday but rain killed that. This week won't work out either as I have to work Friday.

The more I think about this the more it PO's me! A guy I work with can't get a credit for a Chevy Venture with 190k miles, that more than likely won't get the required 18mpg annylonger and is polluting. But they will give you $4500 towards getting rid of a $200K+ Ferrari 430 :censor:
