Wow a 69 Trans am......

Nice find there Rob. That car is looking beyond the restoration capabilities of me. If anyone is serious about it I can check it out. Only for a serious buyer though as it is about 3.5 hours away from me. I am getting pretty lazy and still have a few more projects to complete (and pay for) before summer.

I wonder what parts he has, might be interesting to call the seller.

I wonder how much it would cost to restore that car and then what you could sell it for?? The buyer of a restored rare rare car like that with a big price tag is hard to find. Never mind all the parts you need for the resto. Sure would be an interesting project. Probably take a couple years. I think I'd like to find a 76 T/A first. I think they look better.

restored about 100k+, looks like he has most of the parts. i would think you could do most of the work yourself and have 50-60k in it. BTW i've had 5 or 6 -76 ta's, last one was a 400-4 sp white with tan int 102k ori miles, thats the only yr for that front-end.
 
This is what's keeping me busy for now, TTA 733 needed some upgrades...
At least with Rich I'm not the only one lol
I have been baggin on this old motor since I got it from Mike Arrigo a couple years ago. Had some good parts layin around so I had them cleaned and assembled

My beautiful #733 is in pieces! :boxing: I am sure you (with the help of Meghan) will get her running again soon. Be nice to her and I might buy her back someday if this lottery thing ever pays out. :rofl:
 
Yeah Mike we will get her back up and running. I want to drive this car alot and want it in tip top shape. New motor made from pieces I bought from Jicaju over a year ago now. A PTS Xtreme billet trans with a 9/11 converter from TCS. And a Jim Dunn SLIC. You can still see the red valve cover washers and acorn nuts. Kinda different, I like it.

LOL, at least she hangs out in the garage with you for moral support. :bye1:
 
The corvette is an 81, with the only motor available at that time an L81. It is like driving an old bus load of kids up a steep hill. It makes a heeving sound the entire time. Its all original with 38,000 original miles, black leather interior. It is for sure one of my dream cars, I fell in love with it when I was a kid and my cool neighbour guy had one. I bought it a few months ago and have big plans for it!! Just have to finish TTA 733 and 366 first. I'll post some before and after pics for you Shaun just need a few months.

The motor I am going to put into 733 was built by the same shop that built the T/A aluminum motor in Maggi's blue T/A. They have a new name now called Moretto motorsportz, but they were called Campbell automotive here in Edmonton. They build race engines and circle track engines, and they are a big sponsor of the drag race scene here. They are recommended by razor from alky control, and sell/install his kit up here in Canada. I had the jicaju parts sittin in the garage for a long time and 733 had a vac leak behind the intake and an oil leak from the front cover so I figured I'd have the parts put together and into the car. The motor is stock stroke with forged internals, diamond pistons, roller valve train, champion ported heads/intake, 60# inj, 61 turbo and a 9/11 converter LU. I took the rjc power plate out, because I wanted to see how the car runs but mostly because I only had one new gasket and didn't want to reuse the old ones. What do you guys think of that?
