Participant Voting.....what A Joke

I think I'm done filling out the registration forms at shows that have participant voting. First off I think that's a lazy way out for the organizers of a show....car owners take there day and make sure there cars are clean, drive to the show, and pay the entry fee....oh then judge on top of it. Then the judging is halirious because the same clowns get the trophies almost everytime. Yesterday I got beat by a Monte SS with no armorall on the tires, nasty engine bay, and over 8 cigarette burns in the seats......f$#*€¥ unreal!!!!
 
Participant judged shows are a friend fest. I have never gotten a trophy at one with any of my cars. I have also seen some crappy cars win, Bottom line is you need a lot of friends there with cars to get anything. I would want to win based on merit, not by how many friends votes I get anyway.
 
I'm a people watcher by nature and I was amazed how many voters (I use that loosely) didn't even look at the interior or even do a complete walk around. And Kymmee ur exactly right......oh and by the way I got my sign fixed......lol.
 
I usually go to one at a restaurant on Thurs, just to meet other folks and have some good food. They give out 1 trophy and I've seen a Jeep Wrangler win, and 80's Chevy truck that was nothing special, and a '78 TA once….but mostly all not much of a car kind of material compared to the other cars there….but I still go to hang out and have a cold beer, don't do much prep but wipe the car off at home, drive 15 miles there and park it.
