Picked up a new beater! :o)

Finally found a cheap TTA that I can play with. 171K miles on it, but everything works and just needs some TLC. Now I don't have to worry about my good TTA. I am going to have fun with this one. Everything seems stock and it even has the heater lines hooked up to the throttle body still. Front seats were redone and look awesome, of course the one thing I don't need since my Tan Recaros will be going into this car.

And the answer is "No" if anyone is asking if the only reason I bought it was for the fancy leopard skin floor mats. LMAO They will be for sale if anyone would like them for their car.

Congrats Mike..... I saw that one on craigslist...sounds like a good deal... I showed it to my wife because of the floor mats.... Awesome.... From the pics, it looks in really good shape for those miles..... Can't wait to see it....

Yep, I paid a lot less than what he was asking. Needs wing painted and there is some flex cracks in the front and rear fascias and needs some tuning, but it is overall in descent shape. I can feel OK parking it anywhere and driving it and putting miles on it without worrying about it. I might sell off the front seats to get some money back, but I am not sure yet.

Welcome back to the two car club!!!

733 is still getting me to work everyday, love it!! The best part about daily driving a TTA is somebody gives you the thumbs up or the smile and nod everyday.

Great find and purchase Mike! I was very surprised at how nice the inside was! I've had the same thoughts cause it's so much more fun beating someone with a quiet mid-80's "TPI" car since absolutely no one knows what it really is I think I've had a total of 2 people in 13 years of owning a TTA know exactly what it was outside of the car club.

I've always been drawn to TA convertibles. When I found they made TTA convertibles that was my quest. I've had GTA 350 convertible formula 350 convertible and Trans am 350 convertible all 89...the TTA convertible will be my keeper. I will have original GTA seats stored and have Recaros from 83 Daytona 500 upholstered in tan. I'm also installing DD9 paddle mirrors. I really dont care if people dont like mirrors. Its my TTA convertible and I'll be driving it.
I was thinking of redoing Recaros in white leather with black carpet. I have other custom touches for car but im not disclosing them until car is finished.

Yes, I remember Dave Doern having those on his car and thought they were weird but cool at the same time. Very rare mirrors though and super cool you have them.
