plastic nut

Anybody know where to get this plastic nut? It holds the turn signal in. I also need one of those 7mm bolts that holds it down.
 
I did a little checking around on some of the third gen parts sites, and I am not seeing this part anywhere. I doubt it is common to our cars. Anybody know if this might still be a dealer part?
 
I remember seeing those when I replaced my signal lights with new ones. I didn't have to replace any of those, they were all in good shape.
 
Discontinued years ago ... however get your dealer to order some from VPI but make sure you get a very good discount as they are very expensive otherwise ...

I've not seen any aftermarket replacements more than some generic white or clear plastic square ones ...
 
3999700 ... sad thing is when you install the screw they will most likely split like the one you took out :-(


VPI got 170 of them still ... and hold on ... @ $22.11 each ouch and yes that is each so get your dealer to give you their best discount before you order 4 of them ...

Thanks Jan - guess I will stop by the stealership this week and see what they can do for me. I am going to have a whole lot of 7mm bolts in a week, so if anyone needs some...

I have been trying to get the car ready for a car show next week, so I finally am finding all of the car's sins. I haven't really done much to her since I got her last year. For the most part, it is in really good shape.

Jan - one more thing. What is the correct part number for the door panel clips? I want to order some from the same place.
 
Brilliant, are they pretty much the same size as the original ones so they fit well and "snap" in place in the sheetmetal part?

You can now sell your left overs in sets of 4 ... I'll have 2 sets please :-)
 
Jan - not only do they snap in place, they are a better design. They are solid, not like the old ones with the split down the sides, so they do not crack when you put a screw in them. They are more of an oval then round when you look at them from the top. But it fits very well. They snap in place because of 2 nubs on the sides, and they stay tight. If you want 4, I'll send them to Jim so he can send them with your T shirts.

Sounds like a better route to go, as you say the oem onse to split when you first put the screw in so if these can be reused that's great and comparing the cost its a no brainer.
