Pontiac Enthusiast is No More RIP

For those of you that subscribe, you should have received or will soon receive the consolidated Auto Enthusiast. They combined all the Enthusiast magazines into one. Unfortunately the poor sales and internet options have forced them to cut their costs.

The issue looks good, but they don't have a Pontiac section like they do for Mopar, Corvette, etc. Pontiac in general will probably find it hard to get much coverage. Sadly Trans Am's likely won't appear very often.

It's a shame, I liked the old mag and their format. The auction coverage they had each month was interesting to look at.

This is sad. I remember when the first issue came out in 1993. It had a pair of 65 Pontiacs on the cover (GTO and a Catalina 2+2). The paper stock was of fery high quality and ghad great articles and pictures. George Ellis was the Editor that started the Magazine. He was very focused on a high quality publication. Pete McCarty wrote many tech articles on the pontiac engine. There was a nice article on the 1993 Firebird/Formula/Trans Am.

The Winter 94 issues had the full color 1994 Anniversary Trans Am brochure included in it.

The only magazine that would publish my mug.
They got my email address wrong so I had to create a new one to coincide with the one they printed. Never did get any emails though.

I had been looking for this at B&N and couldn't find it anymore. I was told in one of the more recent issues there was an article on the owner of all those SLP and PAS vehicles that were recently up for auction in Reno. The auction was aborted for what was said to be a "conflict of interests."
 
I've been beating them up trying to get a hold of someone there to get them out to the TTA reunion next year! No wonder I can't get a reply!! I've been a subscriber for years with them. Had my TTA in there one time :)
 
Had been a subscriber for years, called and cancelled it this week.:down:...I wasn't impressed with the new issue.
