Wow...a year + to get an event in a magazine! No wonder print media is dying! :wall:

You are correct, futhermore i hope they make it it for many yrs to come; just seems like anything in print is going by the wayside (newspapers as well). I really don't see it as progress :(
 
Maybe I'm old school, but reading the actual magazine in hand is WAY better than viewing it on line. The photo layouts in the magazine are great and I like the format better. The online way has its place and is good for viewing classified, etc. But just like my newspaper, I gotta have my hotrod mags!!

I agree, so much cooler looking in the magazine.

I would be willing to bet that a big solar flare that take's out a few satellite's (cell phones, internet, gps, ect) that tried and true printed page would make a little comeback :thumbup:
 
Should be out any day now! They called for my bulk order yesterday. They told me I could order 30 of them at a discounted rate because they did the write up when I first talked to the editor. When they called for my CC info, they only offered me 10 copies as they are expecting a sell out! Make sure you keep an eye out at your local news stands and get your copy! This issue might be a hard one to get and once they are gone they will be gone! :cheers:
 
Got mine today as well! The funny part is I bet some Pontiac owners are going to open that issue up and say, "wow look at that they put a picture in here from the 89 Indy 500 that I've never seen before!" lol Great press for some great cars and their owners!
 
I guess I can post this up now that's it's out. This was one of the proof's. Might be some mis spellings and such in this one including my name! :) I'll scan my issue when I get a second. I'm actually on a 3 day photo/video shoot with my 86 GN for the documentary coming out this fall called Black Air. Should be another fun project to see come to life!

Does anyone know if the August issue with the article will be in the stores yet? I know when subscribed, they usually are sent out way in advance of the actual month the issue really is, but probably not the case with stores. Thanks. RCA.
 
Got my issue in the mail today. Great job Jim! I enjoyed seeing some old friends and meeting new enthusiests for the quickest Trans Am ever made. Weathers getting better, time to dust the oild girls off and get them some exercise.

Got mine Yesterday. It was good seeing our cars in the magazine. I was lucky the one they used I was actually standing by the car. That was a fun weekend getting to put a face with the names from the forum.

Thanks again Jim, for all your efforts to drag us kicking and screaming to Ohio to get together and have such a good time. If you run across the video we did, with your camera mounted to the quarter panel of my car making a pass down the strip, throw that thing up. Hopefully it came out.

Did I miss 2nd hardtop that was there? I have pics of every car there on Saturday in the show and line up and didn't see another one all w/e. Would have been cool to put 2 hardtops together!

Not in stores until mid or end of next week I was told when I asked @ Barnes & Noble Friday ... grab all you can find; I'll take 2 off your hands if you find some :-)

Rob, yours were the only hardtop there as far as I know and I got pictures of them all as well thanks for Fred (my son).

Struck out last night. Found 2 copies tonight at the "Books a Million" bookstore. Would like to hold on to these. I will check a few more places, and Jan if I find any-they are yours.

Good score, so they were out this week then ... really appreciate if you can sort a couple of copies for me .. got $$$ ready :-)
 
I found two at the Barnes & Noble in Manhattan Beach also went to the one in Torrance and no luck.:toot:
